Comply with your annual obligations by filing your annual accounts correctly and on time!
In the business environment, it is crucial for all companies registered in the Spanish Mercantile Registries to comply with a series of annual obligations, among which the filing of annual accounts with the corresponding Mercantile Registry stands out.
Annual accounts are an accurate reflection of the company’s financial situation throughout the fiscal year. These documents include a variety of information, such as general identification data, beneficial ownership identification statement, balance sheet, profit and loss account, environmental information, information on own shareholdings, and more.
Depending on the presentation model (SME, Abbreviated, Standard), additional documents such as the Statement of Changes in Equity, Statement of Cash Flows, Management Report, Audit Report, among others, may be required.
What are the deadlines for the submission of annual accounts?
The deadline for the preparation of the annual accounts is three months after the end of the financial year. These accounts must be approved by the General Meeting within the first six months of each financial year. If the financial year coincides with the calendar year, they must be prepared by 31 March and approved by 30 June. Subsequently, the accounts must be filed with the Mercantile Register within one month of approval, with a maximum deadline of 31 July.
